Urgent Appeal: Thames Valley Police Searching for Missing Children Elise and Elliot from Banbury
Thames Valley Police have launched an urgent search for two missing children, Elise and Elliot, who were last seen in Banbury, Oxfordshire, on April 16, 2025. The young siblings, whose ages have not yet been publicly confirmed, are believed to be together and may have connections to Milton Keynes—a town more than 24 miles from where they were last seen.
The disappearance has triggered growing concern among authorities and the public alike, as time is critical in missing children cases. Police officers are working around the clock, pursuing leads, reviewing CCTV footage, and coordinating with neighboring jurisdictions in hopes of locating the pair safely.
Investigators believe the children may have traveled via public transport or with someone they know, although no official details have been confirmed regarding their means of travel. Thames Valley Police are urgently asking members of the public to remain alert and to come forward immediately if they have any information, no matter how minor it may seem.
“We are doing everything we can to find Elise and Elliot. If you’ve seen them or know where they might be, please call us. Any piece of information could be the key,” said a spokesperson for Thames Valley Police.
Elise and Elliot’s disappearance is now part of a wider public awareness campaign called Missed, led by The Mirror in partnership with the charity Missing People. The campaign aims to spotlight active missing persons cases across the UK and provide crucial support to families facing the unimaginable stress and heartbreak of not knowing where their loved one is.
Through the Missed campaign, families are given a platform to share their stories, raise public awareness, and receive help navigating the complex emotional and logistical challenges that come with a missing loved one. The campaign also calls for stronger nationwide protocols, faster responses, and more compassionate care for those affected.
Jo Youle, CEO of Missing People, emphasized: “Behind every headline about a missing child is a family in pain, clinging to hope. The sooner we can mobilize communities and raise awareness, the better the chances of bringing them home.”
In the coming days, flyers will be distributed in Banbury and Milton Keynes, and local media will continue sharing images of the children. Social media users are also being encouraged to share the police appeal to help spread the word as quickly and widely as possible.
