Suffice it to say that Donald Trump has his hands full at the White House.

The attack on Iran’s nuclear sites over the weekend has started a new chapter for his second term as President of the United States. While many people still support him, some are more critical. The Proud Boys, a right-wing extremist group that has backed Trump before, recently sent a strong message to him.

Donald Trump’s attack on Iran’s nuclear sites has shocked the world. On Saturday night, the president spoke to the American people, calling the launches a “spectacular military success.”

“The U.S. military carried out huge precision strikes on three important nuclear sites in the Iranian regime: Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan,” Trump said during a national address from the White House.

“Our goal was to destroy Iran’s nuclear enrichment ability and to stop the nuclear threat from the world’s top state sponsor of terror.”

World leaders reacted quickly. On X, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called the attack “outrageous.”

“What happened this morning is outrageous and will have lasting consequences,” Araghchi posted on X. “Every member of the UN should be worried about this extremely dangerous, lawless, and criminal behavior. According to the UN Charter, which allows for a legitimate response in self-defense, Iran will consider all options to protect its sovereignty, interests, and people.”]} }

At the same time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu mentioned that Donald Trump’s action will “change history.”

“President Trump and I often say: ‘Peace through strength.’ First comes strength, then comes peace. And tonight, Donald Trump and the United States showed a lot of strength.”

The Middle East is in a very delicate situation. The United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, cautioned that the strikes could lead to a serious escalation in the region, while China criticized the attack. Additionally, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer posted on X that the complex situation in the Middle East “is still unstable and maintaining stability in the region is very important.”

Donald Trump’s supporters at home seem to back their president after the strike. However, one group that is threatening to pull their support is the right-wing extremist group Proud Boys. Their former leader, Enrique Tarrio, was pardoned by Donald Trump for his conviction related to the January 6 attack at the Capitol in Washington. Just a few weeks ago, he met with Donald Trump in Florida.

The strike in Iran has caused strong feelings across the political landscape. But while Proud Boys may have been somewhat supportive of Trump before, they now feel a line has been crossed.

Proud Boys says Trump will lose their support if he engage in Iran war

The extremist group shared a message on social media saying they wouldn’t back Donald Trump if the US got involved in the Israel-Iran conflict.

“If the United States gets directly involved in the Israel-Iran conflict, the voters who supported Trump because they believed he was America First can no longer support him,” the Proud Boys account wrote on Telegram last Wednesday. “America First doesn’t mean going to war for Israel. Donald Trump, you need to focus on our country’s health, that’s it. We’re falling apart. We’re stuck in debt with no plan to fix it. Be the President you promised to be.
