DAR Animal Rescue was informed about a stray dog and decided to take action. The dog was discovered sleeping beside a garbage bin in the bushes, where he could scavenge for food. The dog had a collar, which suggested he had been abandoned. Despite being very friendly, the dog was extremely underweight, so the rescue team took him to the animal hospital.
After being rescued, Sapphire was given a proper meal and he ate it happily with a big smile on his face! Later, he underwent some blood tests and unfortunately, he tested positive for three Mediterranean diseases. Although the treatment would take several months, Sapphire’s second chance at life had already begun. The rescue team was optimistic that he would find a loving forever home soon. 🙂
