Beauty Pageant Queen Passed Away At Age 30, Only 4 Months After Her Wedding
Kseniya Alexandrova, the first runner-up at Miss Russia 2017 and a representative of Russia at Miss Universe 2017, has tragically died at the age of 30.
According to Hola!, the beauty queen was involved in a fatal car accident in Tver Oblast, Russia, in July. She was traveling as a passenger while her husband, Ilya, was behind the wheel when an elk suddenly ran onto the road. The animal crashed through the windshield, striking Alexandrova and causing a severe head injury. Sadly, she did not survive. Her husband was reportedly unharmed in the accident.
Alexandrova was taken to the intensive care unit at the Sklifosovsky Institute for Emergency Medicine, where she passed away on Tuesday, August 12.
Her modeling agency, Modus Vivendis—where she began her career at just 19—confirmed her death in a statement shared on social media.
“It is with deep sorrow that we announce that our colleague and friend, model Ksenia Alexandrova, passed away last night,” the translated post said. “Ksenia was bright, talented and extraordinarily bright. She knew how to inspire, support and give warmth to everyone around her. For us she will forever remain a symbol of beauty, kindness and inner strength.”
The statement concluded “We sincerely mourn and express our deepest condolences to her family, friends and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Ksenia. A bright memory…”
The Miss Universe Organization honored Alexandrova on Instagram with a tribute video showing her pageant moments and sharing her message of hope for the world.
Beyond her success in modeling and pageants, Alexandrova also worked as a TV host and psychologist. She earned a finance degree from Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in 2016, later studied at the High School of Cinema and Television “Ostankino,” graduating in 2020, and in 2022 received a psychology degree from Moscow Pedagogical State University. She went on to become a psychodrama therapist.
Her death came just four months after she married her husband, Ilya, on March 22.
