When three brothers walked onto the stage, no one expected much. The judges barely glanced up—just another group, another audition, nothing new. But then the music started. One note—and everything changed. It was like someone flipped a switch
The group seen in the video below is known as AKNU. It stands for “A Kind Never Understood.” The ensemble is comprised of three brothers who share a passion for music. You will be in amazement when you witness their performance on the X-Factor stage in 2013. When the three brothers from Los Angeles arrived, they exuded confidence. But the judges were doubtful, particularly Simon. But AKNU didn’t disappoint.
The brothers chose the song “Valerie” for their audition. It’s a 2006 song by the Liverpool band The Zutons that Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson propelled to number two on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2007. They mentioned their mother’s name was Valerie and were quite delighted about it. But Simon dashed their dreams when he revealed that he despised the song.
However, AKNU remained optimistic. With full conviction, they began singing one of the most beautiful renditions of Valerie ever recorded. They even danced along to the music. When they saw it, the audience, including the judges, was speechless.
They stated upfront that they were there for their mother. And I’m sure they made their mom proud with what they performed on stage! Wait until you see this! It will blow your mind! Please leave us a Facebook comment with your thoughts after watching the complete video below!
