She was previously married to the film producer T. Engelson from 2011 to 2014 which became one of the main reasons she hasn’t been fully accepted by the royal family. The fact that she was an already divorced woman sparked a reaction. Initially, she found it hard to find roles as she was not black enough to portray a black woman and wasn’t white enough too. She worked as a calligrapher and taught bookbinding too.
With Harry, she has 2 adorable kids. 2020 marked a new chapter in their lives as they moved to Southern California and launched Archewell Inc. She has also written a children’s book «The Bench». Not everyone knows that she has starred in the Netflix series «Meghan & Harry» and «With Love, Meghan».
