The generosity of people can make a significant difference in the world, particularly for stray dogs who suffer from the cold and solitude.
The team members of the Barreirinha bus station in Curitiba, Brazil proactively took responsibility for the homeless dogs’ welfare when the winter arrived and the temperature plummeted. They created comfortable dog beds for the abandoned dogs at the bus station and kept the doors open to offer them shelter from the inclement weather.
The workers at the Barreirinha bus terminal in Curitiba, Brazil were aware of three dogs residing in the bus station, and had given them names – Pitoco, Zoinho, and Max. Concerned for the dogs’ well-being, they decided to take action. The employees collected old tires and blankets, then fashioned them into beds to provide the dogs with warmth and comfort during the winter.
Fabiane Rosa, a politician, observed the considerate behavior of the employee at the bus station and photographed the dogs resting in the comfort of their fresh beds. The pictures were uploaded on Facebook and instantly became popular. In her post, Rosa wrote:
“The staff members at the Barreirinha bus station in Curitiba, Brazil, demonstrate that acts of kindness still exist. They surpassed their typical job duties by providing shelter to homeless dogs on the property, utilizing discarded tires to create personalized beds and furnishing them with blankets to ensure that the dogs stay warm and comfortable throughout the chilly winter evenings.”
“So many businesses in Curitiba could learn from this example and consider adopting a pet. While it is not the perfect solution, at least there are people who are taking care of these dogs,” Rosa commented on Facebook. The heartwarming photos of the dogs in their new beds have touched many people, and we hope it encourages others around the world to help stray dogs in need.
